Miles & Sara Logan were part of the very first classes of Northridge High School, graduating in 1994. At their 25 year reunion, they chatted with classmates about how often the top tier students are the only ones receiving scholarships and how the great students who wind up somewhere in the middle are overlooked. They thought a scholarship who recognized these equally hard working and intelligent students would be of huge benefit. They opened the scholarship award for 3.0 students who have a desire to make the world a better place in meaningful ways.

2025- Students will be nominated by NHS Teachers and Staff

$500 Recipient chosen by school admin

The John C. Parks Memorial Scholarship is in memory of John Parks, an OUTSTANDING teacher at Northridge High School who passed away from cancer while he was a teacher at NHS. He was a wonderful example of all the good about Northridge High. He was a truly kind and uplifting person, loved education and kept high personal and professional standards, and was friendly, outgoing and motivating to students, faculty, staff and parents. Mr. Parks was a "True Knight." This scholarship is awarded to a student who embodies these same qualities.

2025 -$500 award chosen by NHS staff

Each year the faculty and staff at Northridge High School nominate and vote on an outstanding graduating student to receive the Northridge Staff Scholarship. The criterion is a student who has spent many hours of service to benefit the students and staff at Northridge High School
